THE PROCESS

Discovery

To begin your project, I’ll invite you to fill out an online worksheet. This will give you an opportunity to let me know who your audience is, your business goals and design preferences. While you complete the worksheet, I’ll look at your existing website data (traffic sources, landing pages) to understand where the biggest opportunities for improvements are.
Timeline: Pre-Project Start Date
Strategy & Wireframing

Once the discovery phase is complete, I’ll put together an overarching strategy for your website, including a wireframe for the homepage. This strategy will be driven by the insights gained from the Discovery stage and will leverage my knowledge of website best practices.
This map outlines what content and visual elements should be included on each page and be used as a resource to hand off to your copywriter to build out the written elements of your website.
Timeline: 1 Week
Content Review

Once we’ve identified the pages that will be included on the website, you’ll be prompted to compile any missing content, including copy and images. On my end, I will get your Squarespace account set up and start outlining and drafting the site design.
Timeline: Varies depending on clients needs
Development

I’ll take the website strategy and your completed content and begin designing the development website. After one week, you will be sent instructions on how to view the development website, along with a video presentation walking you through the design of the important pages of your website. We’ll work through 2 rounds of revisions over the course of 2 weeks so that you are in love with the design and functionality. During each round of revision, you will have the opportunity to book a 1 hour virtual call with me to go over any questions you may have.
Timeline: 3 Weeks
Testing

Final testing will be performed to ensure that the website functions properly on both desktop and mobile devices, prior to launching. I’ll also prepare launch photos for you to use to promote your new website across your own social media channels.
Timeline: 1 Week
Launch

This is where your website is connected to your domain. I’ll also submit your new website to Google Search Console to be indexed and take care of the domain transfer and, if necessary, handle 301 URL redirects to make sure there are no broken links upon domain transfer.
Once the site is live, you will receive a customized website manual and the option to book a 1.5 hour long virtual training session. I’ll also provide 30 days of post-launch technical support.
