  The Roadmap

Step 01

Decide on a framework that suits your needs and click the “Start Your Project” button.

Step 02

Complete an intake questionnaire that will provide me with everything I need to know to put together a proposal for you to review.

Step 03

Upon approving the proposal, you’ll pay your 50% deposit and add ons using a secure checkout. At this point you’ll also be given some start date options for the project to choose from.

Step 04

You’ll receive a welcome email with access to your worksheet. This will walk you through the ins and out of compiling the copy, imagery, and branding for your website. You will need to have this worksheet completed before our start date.

Step 05

After submitting your worksheet, we’ll get going on your website. After one week, you’ll receive a link to view your new website and will be given the opportunity to request any last-minute changes before it goes live.

Step 06

If you are new to Squarespace, you’ll be added to your account and sent instructions on how to pay for your subscription. You’ll also be sent the final invoice for the remaining balance of the project total. 

Step 07

On the Friday of the second week, the domain connected and your new website launched! Cue the confetti!

      • The benefit of this package is that providing copy is more of a fill-in-the-blank process. You’ll be guided through exactly what you need to provide, down to the suggested character limits.

  • The price of the package is divided into two equal payments. The first payment is non-refundable and required to hold your spot in my calendar.

  • Once I receive your completed worksheet, the design portion of the project will take 2 weeks. We start on Monday and your website will be ready to launch on the Friday of the second week. As for the worksheet, I recommend that you allocate at least a couple of days to finish the worksheet.

  • With this package, 50% is required up front to secure your spot in my schedule. The final 50% is due prior to the website launching. There is also the option to pay in full.

  • The purpose of using a framework is to take a lot of the guesswork out of what sections/content to include on your website. Because of this, there are limitations to how much the templates can be changed. 

    What can be customized:

    • Images

    • Copy (ie. the wording of the site)

    • Site logo

    • Contact form fields

    • Social media links

    • Domain name

    What can’t be customized:

    The intention with this service is that the layout and flow of each page will largely follow the style of the framework you choose. If you have specific ideas of changes you would like to see to the design, additional design charges may apply.

  • Yes. Squarespace charges a monthly or annual fee for their service. You will need their Business Plan to provide the appropriate functionality to recreate the templates. If you are new to Squarespace, I can get you 25% off your first year with an annual plan. You’ll also receive some additional perks like a free domain for one year and one year free of Google Workspace, which allows you to have a customized email.

  • If you don’t have an existing Squarespace account, I will set you up with a new account on my end (this will allow you to take advantage of the discount I get for annual plans). You will then be added to the account and provided with instructions on how to add your credit card details to pay for your Squarespace plan. If you already have a Squarespace website, I can work off your existing account. Instructions will be provided on how to add me as a user upon receiving your deposit.

  • With new Squarespace accounts set to annual billing, you will receive a free domain for your first year. I can secure the domain name for you when I set up your account, however you are responsible to confirm that the domain name you want is available. Click here to check availability.

  • It largely depends on how much of your branding, imagery, and content has already been established. Assuming you have already figured out the fonts and colors of your brand, you have a library of high quality photos, and you are clear on your offers and how to communicate what you offer, the worksheet could be completed in a weekend. If you don’t have these elements dialed in, I’ve provided additional resources within the worksheet about where to source fonts, color palettes, and images. While this will require time, it’s beneficial work that will help to create a solid visual foundation for your business.

  • Yes! Prior to getting started on adding your content to the framework, we’ll meet virtually for a 60-minute strategy call so you can ask any questions about content preparation, ensuring a smooth process. This call will also be a chance for us to discuss any alterations we may need to make to the framework of your choice so it works for your unique needs.
