How it Works

During our consultation call, we’ll talk about what you want to sell online and the functionality that you are looking for. From there, I’ll send you a proposal with my suggestions based on your unique needs.

Next is the planning stage, which consists of creating a site map of pages that need to be created, dialing in your products and how they are organized on the site, establishing order fulfillment and shipping processes, and account set up on the eCommerce platform we decided in step one.

Once content is compiled and systems established, site design will begin. To accelerate the design process, a third-party theme will be chosen and customizations will be made to make it uniquely yours.

Once the look and feel of the website are finalized and prior to site launching, we’ll perform several tests to make sure everything is working as it should.

Site launch! After your website goes live, I’ll give you an in-depth rundown of how to handle orders and make basic changes to your website.

Pricing & Timelines

eCommerce projects are provided at an hourly rate due to the complexity and variability of each project. The amount of work required overall to create a new eCommerce website is often underestimated as the requirements for starting, building, and operating a functional eCommerce should be considered a business, not just a website. Providing my services at an hourly rate rather than a fixed price creates the freedom to build a customized solution and gives me the ability to adapt as we dig deeper into the unique scenario of your business selling online.

That being said, you can expect to spend at least $4000 CAD for strategy, set-up, and design, with project timelines of 8+ weeks.

Ongoing website maintenance can be provided on an hourly basis. This is best suited for busy businesses that don’t want to worry about updating and maintaining their website.
